Fairbank is the president of the Berkshire Economic Development
Corporation (BEDC). The BEDC facilitates, coordinates and leads
countywide economic development efforts designed to attract and retain
high quality employers and employees and strengthen the economy of the
Berkshires. In this position he also serves as the lead business
development executive for Berkshire County. Most recently Mr. Fairbank
was the NAFTA Director of New Business & Sales for TÜV America, the
US-based subsidiary of the global auditing, testing, and certification
organization TÜV SUD, headquartered in Munich Germany. Fairbank oversaw
sales teams in the US, Canada and Mexico and managed key global
accounts. In addition, he led TÜV's efforts for new market
opportunities and business ventures.
Prior to joining TÜV, Mr.
Fairbank was the president of MassExcellence, facilitating
organizational improvement activities through management training,
consulting, and "best practices" sharing events. Previously, Mr.
Fairbank was the Vice President of Marketing, Sales &
Organizational Development at Jiminy Peak, The Mountain Resort,
southern New England's premier four-season resort. In addition, Mr.
Fairbank has severed as the Board Chair for several regional not for
profit economic development organizations, and is known for his
leadership, business development and strategic planning capabilities.
