Please consider joining us this summer for Exploring the Berkshires - From the Top of its Mountains to the Bottom of its Ponds.  This institute is a partnership with DCR, educational institutions in the Berkshires, and MITS (Museum Institute for Teaching Science).  
Re-energize with like-minded colleagues and field professionals.  
Spend a week, July 10 - 14, investigating the amazing living laboratory of the Berkshire and Taconic Mountains. 
From rock hunting on Mt. Greylock to canoeing the Housatonic, examine the fascinating interplay of the four Earth systems: geosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere.
Learn how to use the Science and Engineering Practices in your classroom and how they relate to science inquiry.
Explore STEM resources.
Discover how to adapt your current curriculum to meet the revised MA Science and Technology/Engineering Standards.
Become part of a network of teachers from your region and across the state.  
This is a collaboration between Museum Institute for Teaching Science (MITS), Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), Center for Learning in Action at Williams College, Trustees of Reservations, and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.  40 PDPs are offered.  Graduate credits are available through MCLA.
Registration is at   Half-day introductory session on June 17.
