MCLA is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). NEASC is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
MCLA prepares a comprehensive self-study every ten years as part of our reaccreditation. MCLA's current self-study process culminated with a campus visit in November 2013 by a team of peer reviewers representing NEASC.
Our self-study document benchmarks our progress, challenges, and opportunities relative to the eleven Standards for accreditation. Faculty, staff and students organized around each of the Standards, researched and wrote the self-study.
Thank you to the nearly 100 members of the campus community - faculty, staff, and students - who served on the self-study Standards teams. These teams worked for over a year and half reflecting on the eleven NEASC Standards and responded to each.
The self-study reflects our shared understanding of the work we do,
the progress we have made, and the challenges and opportunities ahead of us as
we look to the next ten years.
