MCLA Celebrates Recent Grads
NORTH ADAMS, MASS. - Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) celebrated students who completed their degrees this month and in August at a reception held on Monday, Dec. 9, in Murdock Hall's Sammer Dennis Room 218.
The recent graduates - close to 70 - included those who earned a bachelor's degree, a Masters of Education degree or a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Educational Leadership.
Speakers at this event included MCLA President Mary K. Grant and Cheryl Boillat '79, M.Ed. '97, Vice President of MCLA's Alumni Association, who welcomed the graduates to the Alumni Association.
MCLA offers more than 50 programs of study, including a wide variety of minors and concentrations, a rigorous core curriculum, as well as college-wide honors and undergraduate research programs.
The College's Masters of Education Program prepares educators to motivate, challenge and assist children in all educational settings. Graduates of this program shape how children learn in our region, the Commonwealth and throughout the United States.
MCLA's Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Educational Leadership is a post-master's level certificate for professionals interested in a career as principal, superintendent or other leadership roles in education.
In addition to the December event, all students are encouraged to attend commencement this spring, which will be held on May 17, 2014.
