Freel Library Adds New Database!!

 

EBSCO’s SocINDEX with Full Text

 

Freel Library is pleased to announce the addition of a new database to our library of resources. SocINDEX with Full Text provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,500 journals in the areas of

 

gender studies

criminal justice

marriage and family

social structure

social work

religion

ethnic and racial studies

and other related fields

 

In addition, SIFT provides full text articles from 708 journals, 780 books and 9,333 conference papers. Among the nearly 400 full text journals new to our online collection are Human Rights & Human Welfare, the International Journal of Criminal Justice Sciences, the International Journal of Sociology, Journal of Elder Abuse & Neglect, the Journal of Family Social Work, Residential Treatment for Children & Youth, Sex Roles, Social Biology and the British Journal of Sociology. SocINDEX is an EBSCO database and users will be pleased to see the familiar EBSCO interface they use for many of our other databases. SocINDEX can also be searched using the OneSearch interface, which allows the user to search multiple databases from different vendors simultaneously.
