Ann Carey Scott  


Ann C. Scott:  reading and writing, multicultural education, language acquisition

Ed.D.,  University of Massachusetts, Amherst
M.Ed., Multicultural Education, University of Massachusetts, Amherst
B.A. in Comparative Literature from Smith College

Dr. Scott came to MCLA from William Paterson University, where she served as an assistant professor with the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education since 2001.  Prior to that, she was founder and coordinator of The Mentor Program for bilingual adult learners at Holyoke Community College from 1993-2001.  
Dr. Scott is developing a new Reading Specialist Program that will include a balance of theory and practical application and she will teach reading courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs.
