Education
Please note: Effective for the 2007-2008 MTEL program year that begins with the September 15, 2007 test administration, there will be an increase in the test fee of $10 for each test taken. In addition, for the Communication and Literacy Skills Test, candidates will be able to register separately for one subtest (reading or writing) or for both subtests, for each test date. The fee for the reading subtest will be $30, and the fee for the writing subtest will be $40. The Education Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs. Each program provides a balanced blend of theory and practice so that students will graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to become effective teachers. All the undergraduate license programs require that students complete a major in the Liberal Arts and Sciences appropriate to the level of licensure and a secondary major in Education. The graduate program offers licensure in Early Childhood through Superintendent. Please review our teacher licensure opportunities for more information.
