Alla D. Kucher,Associate Professor and Chair of the Mathematics Department
MS Summa Cum Laude from the Gorky Lobachevsky University of Gorky, Russia Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Mechanics from the National University of Civil Engineering in Moscow, Russia
Her research and publications in Russia centered on applied mathematics and on math modeling.
She enjoys teaching mathematics at all levels, as well as presenting talks on mathematics. Dr. Kucher encourages students to expand their mathematics interests through independent research.
She has served on numerous committees.
She has been awarded by the Faculty Incentive Award for Curriculum Development, by the MCLA Faculty Association Award and by the Faculty Incentive Award for Research/Creative Project (jointly).
Dr. Kucher's other interests include reading, listening to music, travel, and movies.
