Academic Resources
Advising Services
Whether you are a first-year or transfer student, your first year at a new college presents endless opportunities and challenges. Responsibilities and expectations can sometimes be overwhelming to students. Advising Services at MCLA provides academic support for students as you navigate the transitions from orientation through graduation.
Advising Services is primarily an academic resource center on campus. We approach advising as a collaborative process for assisting, educating, and empowering members of the campus community. In doing so, we can help you in making informed educational, career, and life decisions.
The office provides information about college policies and procedures, enhancing the accessibility of information to current as well as prospective students. We also offer up-to-date information to students, faculty and staff on general advice, academic advising and other college services. In doing so, we are able to facilitate appropriate referrals for MCLA students.
