Engage with downtown property owners, managers and businesses to share information on resources, activities and events. Collect information from businesses on their perceptions and needs and challenges.
Assist with updating database to capture information on properties, owners, managers and tenants, working collaboratively with the City of Pittsfield and property owners.
Assist with developing programs aimed at development in downtown Pittsfield.
Assist in tracking commercial and residential development projects in Downtown Pittsfield.
Work with DPI staff and the Business Development Committee on business recruitment and retention through research and data collection.
Participate in the Business Development Committee to carry out committee initiatives.
Collaboration with Public Works Department on streetscape improvements – lighting, maintenance, parking.
Coordinate with Community Development Departments on parking strategy, signage guidelines and streetscape funding.
| | Required Skills | Gather and update demographics and economic information through internet research and key stakeholder groups.
Develop and conduct web-based surveys.
Data collection and input for on-line inventory of properties and spaces – commercial and residential.
Ability to articulate initiatives with stakeholder groups through personal contact, phone, and correspondence.
Develop photographic inventory of DPI district.
Identify grant opportunities to fund specific initiatives.
Distribute related materials throughout downtown to members.
