Description
The Office Assistant for the West Region of The Trustees of Reservations provides skilled administrative support to our staff, volunteers, vendors, and the public. Primary work location is in Stockbridge with some work at other sites.
The office assistant provides core administrative and financial functions for the regional staff; including:
• Processing accounts payable and utility bill data entry
• Supporting internal and external communications
• Providing office support, including word processing, editing, filing, copying, mail collection and distribution, and mail preparation
• Welcoming visitors to the Stockbridge office
• Promoting the organization’s activities, programs, and opportunities for involvement
• Monitoring supplies and assisting with purchasing
• Assisting with revenue processing
• Stocking and distributing publications, and maintaining office equipment
• Supporting staff and committees with minutes, records maintenance, and correspondence
• Assisting with meetings and events

Required Skills
• Associates degree or higher; minimum of two years office experience with financial responsibilities
• Excellent computer skills are essential, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other database programs
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with a team, staff, Trustees members, volunteers, and vendors
• Professional, proactive approach to work with a friendly manner
• Excellent organization skills, focus, and attention to detail
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to travel within the West Region is essential, as is the ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events
• Ability to work productively in a changing environment
• Interest in the work of The Trustees of Reservations
