Northern Berkshire Adult Basic Education Program

The Northern Berkshire Adult Basic Education Program (NBABE) has been based at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for over 30 years. In that time it has continuously helped many area adult learners achieve their academic & Career goals. That is the continuing mission of the program. All classes are free and funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education; Adult and Community Learning Services.

 The Northern Berkshire Adult Basic Education Program provides free classes for individuals in the community who want to earn their High School Equivalency Credential, or need to improve their academic skills in order to enter postsecondary education or training.

Description of Classes

The program offers classes in Basic Skills, High School Equivalency Test preparation, College and Career Readiness, Bridge to College, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Distance Learning & Employability Skills.   The academic year consists of 32 weeks of classes from September through May, though students can enroll at any time.

How to Enroll

Please call the office at 413-662-5330 to schedule an enrollment meeting. During this meeting you complete the required enrollment paperwork and receive additional information regarding the process to begin classes.
