Hometown Holidays is an initiative of the North Adams Office of Tourism and Community Events and Develop North Adams.
NOVEMBER 21 THROUGH DECEMBER 22
Starting on November 21 with a Tree Lighting event, Hometown Holidays has put together a campaign to draw people to North Adams and encourage them to shop locally.
After the Tree Lighting, Hometown Holidays will follow with a series of family-friendly activities on every Thursday night. See below a full listing of events.
DECEMBER 6 EVENTS:
Horse Drawn Wagon Rides by Sweet Brook Farm
Leaving from underneath Mohawk Marquee
Join your friends and neighbors for a night downtown celebrating the Holiday Season. Horse drawn wagon rides from Dave Larabee of Sweet Brook Farm will take people on tours of the downtown.
Downtown North Adams
Known for their powerhouse vocals, the MCLA Allegrettos are quickly becoming a name on the collegiate music scene. Focusing on complex vocals, rock solid technique, emotive nuances, and power; the Allegrettos deliver a sound that has no flats, avoids sharps, and only produces perfect harmony. Come downtown for the Hometown Holidays and listen to some great caroling!
Downtown Window Decorating Contest

What business has put together the most festive window display? You be the judge! Fill out ballots at downtown businesses on Thursday night and be entered into a raffle to win a gift certificate to a local eatery! All ballots can be returned to Gallery 51, at 51 Main Street.
Santa will be at Luma's/ Emporium and at Shima at different points in the evening

Snow Flake Scavenger Hunt and prize giveaways

Window Decorating Contest

All businesses are invited to participate in our holiday window decorating contest. Window displays should be in place by November 21. Judging will take place on December 6. Prizes and bragging rights will be awarded to the winners.
