Region 1 High School Science Fair
On behalf of the Region I Planning Committee, we are proud to provide the top science students the opportunity to explore and share an aspect of science with peers from surrounding communities. This Fair serves as a preliminary competition to the State and International Science and Engineering Fairs. The specific areas of the fair are: Behavioral and Social Science, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Space Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Medicine, Microbiology, Physics, and Zoology.
MCLA is also the lead partner for the Berkshire County STEM Pipeline project. One of our goals is to "increase the number of Massachusetts students who participate in programs that support careers in fields related to mathematics, science, technology, and engineering." It is gratifying to see students engage in science projects, integrating reading, writing, math, critical thinking, problem solving skills and public presentation. You will make a difference!!
