Dr. Sharon M. Thomas

Associate Professor, History, Political Science & Public Policy

About Me

I find that students are more interested in learning by doing, from one's personal experiences, and audio-visuals, than from textbooks.

Description of Special Projects/Activities

Especially related to my Ecotourism Capstone course, I recently traveled to Alaska and before that, to Australia including camping in the Outback.

Research/Creative Interests

I enjoy teaching and interacting with students. I am particularly interested in contemporary issues with special emphasis on the economy and politics.
