2016 COPLAC Northeastern Regional Undergraduate Research Conference (NEURSCA)
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts
October 21-22th, 2016
Call for Papers, Poster, Artwork and Performances
Each member institution may bring up to 10 presentations. Students interested in presenting are asked to fill out the form BY SEPTEMBER 20, 2016, 5:00pm. The Undergraduate Research Council (URC) will then select the representative presentations, and students will be informed of the decision. Late submission may not be considered.
The oral presentations are limited to 12 minutes, with 3 minutes for questions and comments. Length of creative writing presentations depends on number of presenters. Students should expect to read for at least 8 minutes; once all submissions are in we’ll send an update on the official length of presentation. Similarly, time limits on the performances will be set once we know how many campuses intend to participate during the plenary performance.
The URC will cover the costs of student registration. Food will be provided during the conference.
Undergraduate Research Advisory Board Policy on Multiple-Author Submissions
MCLA strives to provide opportunities for students to attend regional and national conferences. As researchers and academics, we do recognize that often several contribute to a research project. The Undergraduate Research Board however asks that only one presenter per submission apply to attend a conference, so that we can provide proper support for travel and accommodations. Other participants in the research project will be listed as authors in conference programs, and should be listed on posters and presentations. Academic departments are welcome to contribute department funds, and to sponsor multiple presenters on a research project.
