Transfer Process
We consider you a transfer applicant if you have earned 12 or more college level credits at another institution.
Minimum admissions requirements for transfer students are:
- 2.5 cumulative grade point average with 24 credits or less
- 2.0 cumulative grade point average with more than 24 credits.
Credentials Required for Admission Review as a Transfer Applicant:

Official College transcript (s) from each college attended

High School Transcipt (if less than an Associate's degree earned)

Admission application and $35.00 fee (either paper or on-line)
We operate on a rolling admission cycle and advise you to apply early. Fall admission acceptances begin in early January whereas acceptances for mid-year (spring term) begin in November. Upon acceptance to MCLA, you will receive a Transfer Credit Analysis (TCA) that reflects how your previous college coursework will transfer into MCLA.
Some basic transfer admission policies include.

MCLA will accept a maximum of 75 credits in transfer.

One-half of a student's major must be completed at MCLA..

A minimum of 45 credits at MCLA is required, and 39 credits must be upper level coursework (300 level and above).

Remedial and skills coursework do not transfer.

Grades of C- and above will be accepted for transfer.
