Scholarships
The following list of scholarships are offered at the time of admission to MCLA and do not require an additional application beyond the admission application. Priority Deadline: February 15th

MCLA Presidential Scholarship: First year students for the fall semester only. These scholarships are awarded at the time of admission and are renewable for three years contingent upon the student maintaining an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. Scholarships range from $1,500 to $3,000.

Paul E. Tsongas Memorial Scholarship: First year students in the top ten percent of their class or who have an overall GPA of 3.75 or better. Each student is expected to have SAT scores of at least 1200 or ACT equivalent (27). The scholarships will be renewed annually for up to three years and for continued eligibility provided that students maintain a 3.3 GPA. This scholarship is available to Massachusetts residents only and covers the cost of tuition and fees.
Price Scholarship: Awarded to students who have applied to a liberal arts program. The scholarship is awarded based on the students GPA (3.0 or better), SAT and written essay.
John and Abigail Adams Scholarship: Massachusetts public high school students automatically qualify for the Adams Scholarship when they:
- score in the Advanced category in either the Mathematics or the English language arts section of the grade 10 MCAS test;
- score in the Proficient or Advanced category on the second subject (Mathematics or English language arts); and
- have a combined MCAS score on these assessments that ranks in the top 25% in their school district.
Students who enroll in a Massachusetts public high school in the eleventh grade may take the high school English language arts and Mathematics MCAS tests in their junior year. In order to compete for eligibility for the Adams Scholarship, this group of eleventh graders must participate in the standard spring Grade 10 MCAS tests.
The Adams Scholarship provides a tuition waiver for eight traditional semesters of undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts, the seven Massachusetts state colleges, or fifteen community colleges. In order to use the tuition waivers students must first apply to the colleges or universities and be accepted. Students who receive the Adams Scholarship
must complete their college studies in four years or less and maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
