"MCLA’s location provided me with endless opportunities to gain professional experience in the arts. I had a lot of fun working as a tour guide at MASS MoCA and in the education department at the Berkshire Museum, which allowed me to figure out what kinds of jobs I would like and to meet a lot of interesting arts professionals along the way. MCLA’s small size helped me develop close working relationships with my favorite professors who always took time to advise me on academic and professional concerns. I really felt like they were with me all the way."

Fundraising: "Year end" report
MCLA's fiscal year ended on June 30, and we have much to celebrate. Our annual giving program had its best year ever. Alumni participated in record numbers with over 1,660 alumni making gifts to the College. $423,823 was raised for scholarships and program support. Overall, $2.279 million was given in cash or pledges toward programming and student needs.

Contributions from alumni are very important as they make available much needed financial aid funds for families struggling to meet the cost of today's tuition. Gifts of all size to the Annual Fund, which supports student scholarship, make an MCLA education available to many worthy students. Thank you for your support!

Reunion recap
This year's Reunion took place on campus June 6 and 7. Classes celebrating milestone reunions included 1958, 1978, and 1988. Alumni came to campus to meet old friends, revisit the campus and have a good time. The Saturday evening barbecue featured good food, ice cream sundaes and music by a local band. Click here to view Reunion photos. If you could not make it to campus for this year's celebration, look for regional alumni events coming soon to your area.

MCLA in the arts
MCLA, in partnership with the city of North Adams, MASS MoCA, Northern Berkshire Community Coalition, and local businesses is presenting Down Street Art a project running this summer and fall that has transformed four downtown storefronts into temporary "art destinations."

The College is grateful to local businesses and organizations that have sponsored Down Street Art, including Berkshire Bank, the City of North Adams, Adams Co-Operative Bank, Greylock Federal Credit Union, BrewHaHa, Café Latino, Cup and Saucer, Gramercy Bistro, The Hub Restaurant, The Porches Inn at MASS MoCA, Papyri Books, Photoworks, and Taylor's Fine Dining.

The MCLA Presents! formerly Patrons of the Arts) season opens on Thursday, October 2, at 7:30 p.m. with "A Night in New Orleans."
