2005 Hall of Fame Inductees

Monty Flynn graduated from the College in 1979 with a degree in sociology. He was a member of the men's basketball team from 1974-1978. His athletic honors include: MVP 1976-77 and 1977-78, Third Team All New England, and three years All League Team Captain. Monty is 10th on the MCLA all-time scoring list.

Monty is currently employed by Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY as the Coordinator of Student Activities. He is living in Jamesville, NY with his wife, Linda Wright, and his five children, Reggie, Franklin, Kala, Joshua, and Jessica. He is an AAU Basketball Coach for Boys Syracuse Select and Girls Syracuse Stars, a college basketball official (ECAC) since 1996, a certified high school basketball official (Board #38 Syracuse, NY) and a martial arts student studying Karazenpo Go Shinjutsu Shaolin Kempo Karate (present rank, Yankyu).

In 1999 Monty received the State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service and in 1997 he received the SUNY Chief Admissions Professionals Multicultural Committee Trailblazer Award.

Sheila Marti Hutchinson graduated from the College in 1991 with a degree in psychology. She was a member of the women's soccer team for four years and Assistant Coach one year. She was selected as MVP her sophomore and junior year and in her senior year she was named Defensive MVP.

Sheila is currently the Correction Program Officer at Souza-Bavanowski Correctional Center in Shirley, MA. She has worked for the Department of Corrections for 14 years.

She has been happily married to George for nine years with two daughters, Sarah and Megan. She is still playing soccer in an over 30 league in Acton, MA, and she has been coaching soccer for 5 year olds in Leominster, MA.

Wayne Marra graduated from the College in 1974. He was a member of the baseball team all four years. He was MVP in 1971 & 1974. In 1974 he led the team batting with a .471 average and base percentage with a .584 average. His batting average is ranked third all time for a single season.

Wayne is currently employed by Milton Bradley (Hasbro) as a senior production planner. He is currently living in Chicopee with his wife Mary Lou. Wayne has two children, Mark and David.

Patricia Mowbray-Morgan graduated with a major in PE from Bridgewater State College and received her master's in physical education from Springfield College. Pat was a pioneer for women's athletics at the College. She was hired in January of 1963 and worked here at the college until 1991. She was hired by President Freel because of the need for women's sports at the College. Pat started the Women's Recreation Association. She coached volleyball, tennis, and the women's equestrian team at MCLA. She was also an advisor to the Student Government.

Pat was married to the late Jerome E. Morgan. She likes to golf and swim and is a member of the Taconic Golf Club. She is an American Kennel Club Judge and is licensed to judge all sporting breeds, all hound breeds, all working breads and all herding breeds. She judges about 45 shows a year in the USA (including Westminster Kennel Club at Madison Square Garden), Canada, Australia, South Africa, Japan, and the UK. Patricia spends the winter months in Florida.

David Pereira graduated from the College in 1993 with a degree in English communications. He was on the Dean's List in 1992. He was a member of the men's soccer team from 1989-1993. His athletic honors include: Second Team All American 1993, MASCAC MVP 1993, First Team all New England 1993, Second Team All New England 1992, Co-MVP in 1991-92 and MVP in 1992-1993.

Dave is currently employed at Invensys, ENE in Canton, MA as a HVAC Automation Technician. He is living in Halifax, MA with his wife, Lisa and three children, Duncan, Emma, and Reese. After graduation he coached men's and women's soccer at Dean College in Franklin, MA and later coached men's soccer at Bridgewater State College. He still telemark skis and backcountry hikes in the winter and returns every year to Mount Greylock to hike and ski down Thunderbolt Trail. He mountain bikes every week with friends.

Dave is excited to watch his children grow up and share many great moments with his family and friends.

Derek Shea graduated from the College in 1995. He played men's soccer from 1990-1993. He is one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the College. His athletic honors include: 1992 Co-MVP, 1992 All New England, 1992 New England Region Adidas Scholar, 1992 Athlete Soccer All American, 1992 First Team All American, 1992 NEISL All Star Team, 1991 First Team All MASCAC, 1991 All New England Division III First Team, 1991 NEISL All Star Team, 1990 All New England Division Third Team, 1990 All MASCAC Team, 1990 NEISL All Star Team, fifth in Goals in Career with 30 from 1990-93, third in Career Assists with 21 from 1990-92, and the 1992-93 Louis Parisien Memorial Award winner. Derek played professional soccer for the Albany Alleycats (USISL).

Joseph Sondrini graduated from the College in 1990 with a degree in business administration. He was a member of the baseball team for four years. His athletic honors include: First Team All-New England, Third Team All-American, MASCAC All Star. In June of 1990 he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization and played four years in their minor league system, finishing up at their Double-A Club in North Carolina.

Joe is employed by GE Advanced Material as an application development specialist. He lives in Huntersville, NC with his wife, Michele, and three daughters, Arianna, Alyssa, and Alaina. While at GE, he spent three years in his hometown of Pittsfield before relocating to Chicago for almost four years. In May of 2004 he relocated once again within the company to Huntersville, NC. Joe enjoys spending time with his family by going to the beach, swimming at the pool and playing outside with his girls. His two oldest girls keep him busy with their involvement in competitive gymnastics. He also enjoys playing golf, softball, and Texas Hold'em with the other neighborhood dads.

Angela Bushika Trudeau graduated from the College in 1995 with a degree in psychology and sociology. She was a member of the softball and women's basketball teams all four years. Her athletic honors include: 1992 Softball Offensive Player of the Year, 1993 Softball Defensive Player of the Year, 1992 All MASCAC Softball Second Team, and 1995 NEISCA Softball All Star. After graduation she was Assistant Softball Coach for one year while attending classes at MCLA for her teaching certificate.

Angie is currently employed at Deerfield Valley Elementary School as a 4th Grade Teacher. She is married to Daniel and has two children, Jack and Brianne. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family. She loves the outdoors and riding her horse. This past year she played softball in the Brattleboro Area Women's Softball League. She is planning on coaching in the future but is waiting for her children to get older. She coached the local AAU basketball team in Wilmington, VT her first year in Vermont. She has also assisted her husband with a couple of baseball clinics for the local youth in Wilmington.
