"MCLA not only gave me a great education in the classroom, it also gave me a chance to learn outside of the classroom. Whether it was on the baseball field, in the community, or working with different clubs and organizations MCLA gave me the chance to grow as a person. I use both my classroom and non-classroom education every day that I’m at work. I have to learn in every situation that presents itself, day after day. The meetings I attend are just like the small classroom settings at MCLA and allow me to feel comfortable. I prepare for those meetings just like I did for a test or a baseball practice. MCLA made me a better person. I feel more confident as a person with my MCLA degree."
The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Intramural Department was created to serve the students needs for competitive and fun activity. IM?s are also a great way of meeting new people and making friendships that can last a lifetime.
The Intramural programs are organized so that students of all abilities can compete in the multitude of activities offered. All programs are open to both men and women. If you enjoy competitive activity, having fun, and keeping physically fit, we encourage you to participate!
The Intramural programs are chosen by the students and run by the students. There are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved, either through participating in a sport or lending a hand to the officiating staff. Intramurals provides students with many opportunities to gain leadership experience through acting as an Intramural Council member, team captain, timer, scorer, official, statistician or supervisor. Students have an invaluable opportunity to obtain laboratory experience in the areas of program organization and administration.
