"Coming out of the History Department at MCLA, and also having spent three years working on the Student Government Association (SGA), I had hoped to continue to pursue my interests and get a job working in government. I had been to the State House a few times for Student Lobby days, and had been in touch with my local representatives all throughout school, so after graduation, this was certainly to my advantage, as I now work on Beacon Hill."

HEAD COACH

Devin Gotham was named head basketball coach in the fall of 2003. MCLA Athletic Director, Scott  Nichols, is very excite to have Gotham on the Trailblazer staff, “Devin has great experiences, namely at Williams as they won the National Championship in the 2002-2003 season. He knows what it takes to compete at a high level.”

Prior to his stint at Williams, Gotham served as the head assistant coach at Alfred University, a Division III school in New York.  As for playing experience, Gotham played 4 years at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and teamed with twin brother Kerry on the varsity high school team at Colton-Pierrepont C.S, where he played for his father, Ron.  As Nichols stated, “Devin brings a lot of enthusiasm to the program as well as a wealth of knowledge and success from his playing days and coaching experience.”

Coach Gotham is also the head cross country coach.

ASSISTANT COACH

Brendon Mulcahy enters his first season as assistant coach for the men’s basketball team.  Brendon, a native of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, is a 2002 graduate of Mt. Allison University.  While there he was a four year member of the men’s basketball team, twice serving as team captain.  For the past two summers he has worked with Coach Gotham at Camp Laurel, a summer camp in Maine.  Mulcahy brings a wealth of basketball knowledge with him to the team and is a welcome addition to the Massachusetts College coaching staff.
