MCLA Political Science Club and Career Services to Present 'Roots of Revolution: Egypt, Tunisia, and Beyond' on Wednesday

NORTH ADAMS, MA - Dr. Robert Bence, a political science and public policy professor at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), will lead a discussion on the "Roots of Revolution: Egypt, Tunisia and Beyond," on Wednesday, March 2, at 6 p.m. in the Amsler Campus Center's Sullivan Lounge, on the MCLA campus. 

For "Roots of Revolution: Egypt, Tunisia and Beyond," Bence will make a short presentation, outlining the recent spontaneous revolutions sweeping across Northern Africa and the Middle East. He will provide some historical content and outline some commonalities and differences in the uprisings, and also will some possible causes of these events and what we might expect in the weeks and months to come.  

In addition, Bence will examine what these recent events might mean for U.S. foreign policy, as well as prospects for stability in the region, before opening the topic up for discussion with the audience. 

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
