Fast Track
Apply
To be eligible for admission to the Fast-Track Program, a student must have a high school diploma or GED, and have a 2.0 GPA in all prior college work. Applicants not meeting the minimum requirements will be evaluated on an individual basis.
New modules begin in September, October, January, March, May and June. Applications are accepted throughout the year under the Fast-Track rolling admissions policy.
Once a student is accepted, program advisors will review transcripts for possible transfer credit and will work with the student to set up a course schedule. The prior learning assessment process will be handled through the office of Academic Advising.
How to apply
- Print out and complete the application.
- Mail the application fee (don't forget to include the $35.00 application fee) to the Continuing Education Office.
- Have your high school or GED transcript and any official college transcripts sent to:

Once Accepted
- You will need to submit a completed health form and provide information that you have received appropriate immunizations as set by The College Immunization Law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Contact the Health Services office for more information: 413.662.5421.
- Unless you have transfer credits, arrange to take placement tests in Math and English through Learning Services (413.662.5309). These are not entrance exams! (You just need to take the test before you enroll in an entry-level Math or English course at MCLA).
- Meet with the Continuing Education Program Coordinator, (413.662.5576), for assistance with course selection. All students must meet course prerequisites. New students can then register at the Admissions office.
Financials
A 3 credit hour cost for school year 2011-2012 will be $843.00 Fast-Track students are eligible for financial aid. Students are awarded financial aid according to need. Various financial aid forms are available for evening students. Contact the Financial Aid Office for applications, procedures and forms: 413-662-5219 and let them know you're interested in the Fast Track Program.
