Helpful Information for Prospective Students

 

You can register for classes prior to official acceptance into your degree program and remain in "non-degree" or "non-matriculated" status for up to two Fast Track modules of study.

You will be considered fully matriculated once all official transcripts and other documents have been received.

To be eligible to earn a degree and receive financial aid you must be matriculated.

The cost for a three-credit course is $843 for the fall semester 2011.

    • FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AT MCLA    Students in the Fast -Track program are eligible for Financial Aid. MCLA will review all students for financial assistance who submit the completed documentation: Free Application for Federal Student Air (FAFSA) MCLA code for the FAFSA is 002187

 

    • PRIOR LEARNING CREDIT-EXPERIENCE  Credit for prior learning enables students to receive academic credit for college-level learning acquired outside of the classroom. The process is particularly valuable for people with backgrounds in a profession, community activities, miliarty service and volunteering. Prior Learning Flyer

 

    • FAST TRACK ONLINE COURSES Students in the Fast Track Program who prefer an online course need to review the Getting Started on Techhelp FAST TRACK ONLINE course flyer for complete information on accessing MCLA email and Blackboard Learning Systems Vista courseware server.

 

    • MCLA PHYSICAL EDUCATION GRADUATION REQUIREMENT   A waiver or course credit for the Physical Education college core graduation requirement can be obtained by providing documentation of a physical exercise activity or health related training in a formal classroom setting. Download form.

 

    • TUITION REIMBURSEMENT  Students in need of documentation for tuition reimbursement or other obligations can obtain MCLA student documents at the completion of each module through the steps listed on the links here for Transcripts, Obtaining grades online flyer

 

    • MANDITORY HEALTH SERVICES FORM  All students are required to complete and submit the HEALTH FORM in order to be in compliance with Massachusetts mandated health regulations. The information provided will be used to provide better health care for you while at MCLA, and it has not bearing upon the admissions process. Failure to complete the HEALTH SERVICES FORM could result in a hold on your file and exclude you from registering from classes.
