Students and Freel Library
To check out and renew Library Materials: In order to borrow materials from Freel Library you must present your MCLA ID or a CWMARS public library card to a member of the Circulation staff. You may borrow a maximum of 15 items and keep them for 30 days. Overdue materials accumulate fines at a rate of 10 cents per day per item. If an item is lost or damaged while checked out to you, you will be charged the cost of replacing the item plus a processing fee.
Reserve Materials : Your professors may place items for you to read on reserve in the library. These items are held at the Reserve Desk (next to the Circulation Desk). You will need your MCLA I.D., the name of the professor and the title of the item you are to read. Reserve materials cannot be removed from the library.
Reference Department: The Reference Department contains many of the tools you will need in order to find information for your assignments and the staff can help you use these tools. Finding information for your assignments is your responsibility, but the staff in the Reference Department can show you how to use our print and automated indexes and they can recommend sources you might be unfamiliar with.
