"What really drew me to the College was the fact that I knew I would get a lot of ‘real world’ experience. My hands-on experience was invaluable. MCLA supports its students, doing what it takes to get them into new experiences that will later prove to be stepping stones into a career."

NORTH ADAMS, MA – The Tricks of the Trade seminar series will continue this month with” Documenting and Archiving Your Work,” on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m.
North Adams Photographer Tony Israel will be the instructor for both sessions.
Session one, on Nov. 11, will focus on digital archiving and take place at Northern Berkshire Creative Arts in North Adams. It will focus on the importance of digital archiving and record keeping for documentation and online exhibition, as well as for marketing purposes.
Participants will learn how to properly document and digitally archive their work using do-it-yourself photography techniques, imaging software, and online archival and exhibition resources.
The session will be held at the Northern Berkshire Creative Arts in Heritage State Park, 115 State Street, Building 1, 1st floor, North Adams.
Session two, a digital documentation workshop, will take place on Nov. 12 at IS183 Art School of the Berkshires in Stockbridge. Participants in this session must have attended session one, and will take what they learned in that first workshop to produce archival quality images of their work.
Participants should bring a digital camera and no more than three, preferably different, examples of their work.
