MCLA Chamber Choir to Present Concert on Saturday, May 7

NORTH ADAMS, MA - The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Chamber Choir will present a spring concert on Saturday, May 7, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the MCLA Church Street Center auditorium.

The event is free and open to the public.

Directed by Jack Brown, the choir will be accompanied by David Denhard. According to Brown, the concert will feature a wide variety of music styles from several cultures and centuries.

Each piece will have something to do with birds, including blackbirds, nightingales, swans, robins, turtledoves and more, Brown said. Settings will range from Mendelssohn, Grieg, Ravel and the Beatles to pop standards and folk songs.

Refreshments and "bird-themed" munchies will be served on stage after the concert. Donations for the food will go to the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
