MCLA Students to Present Comedy Feb. 27-March 2nd


NORTH ADAMS, MASS. - The Fine and Performing Arts Department at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will present a spring production of Mark Dunn's contemporary play, "A Delightful Quarantine," directed by MCLA theatre professor Dr. Doug Jenkins.

A comedy, the play will run at 8 p.m. from Wednesday-Thursday, Feb. 27-28, and Friday-Saturday, March 1-2, with a matinee showing at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at MCLA's Venable Stage.

"A Delightful Quarantine" looks at what it might be like to be confined with people you don't really know, after strange visitors leave behind a deadly disease that leaves six households unexpectedly quarantined. The resulting lies, passion, outbursts and secrets all reveal what this little homebound town actually is like.

The cast includes Jack Sleigh, Sarah DiMarino, Emma Hodgson, Amanda Monick, Victoria Konopacki, Alexa Hebard, Marcus Neverson, Elizabeth Mullen, Jimmy Dunn, Jacquelyn Gianetti, Rebeccah Szczygiel, Cory Flood and Boston Livingstone. Dawn Shamburger is the production designer, and Andrew Hoar served as technical director, along with a student assistant technical director, Lisa Lepoidevin.
