Sexual Assault Prevention Training

Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) is a 60-90 minute bystander intervention training program that aims to:

  • Raise awareness among college students of issues traditionally considered "women's issues."
  • Encourage young men and women not merely to be bystanders, but to play an active role in reducing gender violence.
  • Empower college student leaders to mentor and educate younger males and females on these issues.

MVP uses a series of real-life scenarios involving gender violence to spark discussions among participants so as to interrupt, confront, and prevent violence by their friends or peers.

For more information about or to schedule an MVP training for your student club, organization, or department please contact Heidi Riello, Director of Counseling Services via email at Heidi.Riello@mcla.edu or via phone at 413.662.5331.
