CHINA EXPERIENCE is offering the opportunity to study through travel. China was once deemed the sleeping giant, however, the giant has awoken. One of the world's oldest civilizations, China has evolved into a 21st century global economic leader.  This course ensures that students are exposed to China's history and culture, while enabling them with knowledge and experience to perform in the global economy.  China Experience includes a multi-national corporate tour of Shanghai, the centre of China's economic resurgence, and culture exchanges in both Xi'an and Beijing. 

An early pioneer of American space travel, Frank Borman once commented that the "Exploration is really the essence of the American spirit." This applies to each of us, as I believe that, those who experience the most growth in life are those bold enough to explore the discomforts of the unknown. Often what is gained in those moments of inquiry is an awakening coupled with a deeper sense of identity and place in the larger world. The essence of exploration will confirm and sustain these underlying values. It will assure that our students will move forward with confidence to contribute and confront the new and future challenges.

Supplemental scheduled visits
Visits to WTO World Trade Organization, Shanghai Stock Market, American Chamber of Commerce, SIFT, and social events costs have been subsidized by Ben Kahn, in tribute to Memoriam of his son, Solomon Kahn-Jochnowitz, 1998 - 2006.

4 Days in Beijing:  The Capital of The People's Republic of China, visiting the National People's Congress, Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City, The Great Wall, Beijing 2008 Olympic Complex, Summer Palace, and Temple of the Heavens.

1 Day in Xi'an:  One of the four great ancient capitals of China, visiting Terracotta Warriors and The Shaanxi Provicial Museum

1 Day in Guilin

1 Day in Yangshuo

3 Days in Shanghai:  Discovering a hybrid communist capital system at Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) and meeting with the WTO President, taking a tour of the WTO Center in Shanghai, and the Multi-National Corporate and Cultural Tours of Shanghai.

Tour Fees:  $2,980 for students.  Must complete application.
