Arts Management at MCLA

art managementMCLA is one of the few institutions in the nation that offers an undergraduate degree in arts management.  Our curriculum offers you total immersion in the business of the arts and is enriched through the unlimited opportunities for learning outside the classroom and inside the rich cultural economy of the Berkshires.

Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management Offers

Our majors receive a strong background in art, music, theatre, business administration, and public relations through an interdisciplinary approach that uses expertise in the departments of business administration, English/communications, and fine and performing arts.  You may seek a concentration or double major with fine and performing arts, art, or other majors.

Arts Management Students

MCLA is home to the Berkshire Hills Internship Program (B-HIP) which provides you with the opportunity to work with undergraduate and graduate students from across the nation.  Additional opportunities are available through MCLA Gallery 51, a collaboration between MCLA and the city of North Adams that features the work of local artists including MCLA faculty and students.  Classroom and internship experiences are geared toward exposing you to expertise and helping you gain experience in grant writing and fundraising, museum studies, performing arts management, and other non-profit endeavors.

A tuition reduction of $8,500 is available for those arts management majors who are residents of CT, NH, NY, RI, or VT.
