Computer Science and Information Systems at MCLA
Our faculty offers you a background in the broad range of computing technologies that are used for information, entertainment, and commerce. Your classes in our state-of-the-art facilities will include laboratory exercises and projects designed to prepare you for careers and lifelong learning in the rapidly changing computing field.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Offers
Current interest courses are offered each semester to insure examination of cutting-edge technologies of interest to you and to our faculty. Faculty areas of specialization include artificial intelligence, computer applications, computer science education, data communications, database management, electrical engineering, networking and network security, information system development, intelligent tutoring systems, object oriented design and programming, and robotics and systems software.
You will be encouraged to pursue opportunities to apply knowledge through internships and independent study courses. With departmental approval, you can design a minor that includes independent study and courses from other departments. A robotics laboratory brings together faculty and students from our department and from the physics department.
