The experience of going back to England was something else. Ever since the first time I went I had been looking forward to going again. Given the chance, I leapt on it. The opportunity of going as a Teaching Assistant was only one of the things that made the trip so amazing. I loved having the opportunity to share my knowledge and previous experience, and I feel the group benefited from having me around. I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to experience England again, as well as to experience being the assistant on what is something like the ultimate field trip. I would suggest to any of the many who have taken this trip that going as a T.A. is well worth the time and money; going as a student is something, but traveling as a teacher is something else.

When you are in a new place, all you can do is take it all in. I could not process the wonderful journeys in Britain until after I returned to Massachusetts. Four years ago I thought Mass was much different from the D.C. area. When you experience a new country (or two in this year's case), it is harder to process. All you have to do is explore and you can stumble upon anything or anyone. In Scotland, I found a tea set that belonged to Capt. John Williamson and the Grand Masonic Lodge of England, in London. I payed homage to my grandfather Hugh Smith, a deceased Mason from the Alexandria/Washington Lodge in Virginia, there. I hope to return someday and explore this place more. If you ever get the opportunity to explore, why not take it? Cheers!
