MCLA Theater Production: Passing Strange $
Passing Strange is a comedy-drama rock musical about a young African American from Los Angeles who travels to Europe to find himself as an artist. It is an autobiographical story of identity and self-discovery, where the boy ultimately finds reconciliation with his homeland. The musical's lyrics and book are by Stew with music and orchestrations by Heidi Rodewald and Stew. It was created in collaboration with director Annie Dorsen.
