Nicholas Stroud

 

B.S. in Astrophysics, UW-Madison, 2002

M.A. in Astrophysics, Stony Brook University, 2004

Ph.D. in Science Education, Columbia University Teachers College, 2008

 

Dr. Nick Stroud, an Assistant Professor of Science and Technology Education, joined the Education Department from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction where he worked on statewide assessment, research, and educator evaluation initiatives. His background includes education in science museums, professional development for teachers, science teaching at the college level and astrophysics. Dr. Stroud's goal is to make science education part of the everyday fabric of Berkshire County. His interests also include peer teaching and the impact of such teaching experiences on the attitudes and knowledge of pre-service teachers.
