Leadership Academy

FAQ 

What degree will I receive at the end of the Leadership Academy?
MCLA offers course credit, which can be applied toward administration certification. When you receive your transcript you will send that to your state DOE and they will apply the credits toward certification or licensure.

What is the cost of the Leadership Academy?
Depending upon your room choice and other variable costs, overall program costs may vary upward from $6,000.  This cost includes tuition, room, board, cultural activities and most meals.  A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required at the time of application.  This non-refundable deposit will be deducted from the package price in future billing. 

What is included in the fees?
Fees, tuition, prepractica, room and board and cultural activities are included in a single fee.

Can I apply for an internship?
Students are eligible to enroll in an administrative internship upon completion of the Leadership Academy.

Are classes held on weekends?
You will attend classes daily from the first day to the last day of the Academy.  On most days you will have two classes (four hours each) and some special events (movie, guest speaker, play, concert).  There is time for exercise and reflection daily.

What will I be required to do before/during/after the Academy?
 A reading list is available on the Preparation web page and we will expect you to read everything on that list before you arrive on campus.  You will also be expected to complete a writing assignment which will also be available on the Preparation web page.  You will complete all other assignments during the Academy.
