08/28/2013

NORTH ADAMS, MASS. - With classes starting again next week, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) has announced that a portion of Church Street between Bradley and Blackinton streets will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 1, to allow for safety as a large volume of students move into area residence halls.

Residents living within this closed off area will be allowed unrestricted access. All other traffic will be re-routed to Davenport Street and Blackinton Street during this time.

Resident student check-in will begin on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 1. Although the partial street closure only will be in effect on Sunday, the student move-in process will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 3.

MCLA thanks affected residents in advance for their cooperation in helping us make the student move-in process a smooth and safe event. Those with any questions or concerns should contact Director of Public Safety Joseph Charon at (413) 662-5284.
