For help in using any of these databases, call or drop by the library during regular library hours, which are posted on the library home page. Most databases also provide extensive help information.
Books and ebooks
Freel Library Catalog: The Freel Library catalog allows you to search by author, title, subject of keyword to find books in our collection and in the collections of many other Massachusetts libraries. The catalog also includes links to the full text of over 70,000 digital ebooks. You can read these books on line. For information on using our ebrary collection of ebooks, click here.
Academic Journals, Magazines and Newspapers
EBSCOhost: Ebsco business databases include Business Source Premier, Communication and Mass Media Complete and Regional Business News. Business Source Premier provides indexing and full text for over 2,300 publications. Indexing without full text is provided for additional titles.
Gale Databases: Gale business databases include Business Index ASAP and Business and Company Resource Center. As with the EBSCO databases, full text is provided for some titles and indexing only for others.
LexisNexis: LexisNexis includes full test newspapers, including the New York Times, and business and law journals.
Massachusetts Newsstand: Includes The Boston Globe, The Berkshire Eagle and other Massachusetts newspapers, as well as the Wall Street Journal.
Journals A to Z: Enter the title of any journal, newspaper or magazine to find out if the full text is available in any of our databases. If the full text is available, a link to the appropriate database will be provided.

OneSearch: Click on OneSearch, then choose Business from the list of subject choices. You can then seach several preselected business databases simultanaeously.
Wall Street Journal: Use this link for just the Wall Street Journal, or the link at Massachusetts Newsstand (see above) for the Wall Street Journal and additional Massachusetts newspapers.
Boston Public Library: The Boston Public Library provides free access to a number of databases to Massachusetts residents, workers and students. You must register for a BPL eCard, which you can do at this address: http://www.bpl.org/general/circulation/ecards.htm. Please note that your MCLA library card number and your MCLA internet login ID and password will not provide you access to any BPL database. You must use the number generated for you when you sign up for a BPL eCard. The Boston Public Library offers a number of business databases. Of particular note is JSTOR, which includes a number of full text academic business journals.
