MCLA Welcomes Six New Faculty Members This Fall
NORTH ADAMS, MA - As Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) has consistently grown its' faculty in recent years, the College continues to add new positions to its' academic departments as it welcomes six new faculty members to campus this fall.
Mark A. Cohen, Ph.D., will join the College as an associate professor in the department of Computer Science and Information Systems. He comes to MCLA from Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania, where he served as an associate professor. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Sciences and Technology from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pa.
Elizabeth J. Hartung will join MCLA as an assistant professor in the Mathematics Department. She previously served as a future professoriate teaching associate at Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y. where she earned her master's of science degree.
Ryan M. Krzyzanowicz joins the biology department as an instructor for the athletic training program. He comes to the College from Concord University in Athens, W.Va., where he served as a football athletic trainer. He earned his master's degree in education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.
Kathleen A. Miller, will join MCLA's department of sociology, anthropology and social work as an assistant professor. She previously served as a visiting lecturer at MCLA in that department. She earned her M.S.W. the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn.
Nicholas Stroud, Ph.D., joins the education department as an assistant professor of science and technology. He comes to MCLA from a position from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in the office of educational accountability where he served as an education consultant. He earned his Ph.D. in Science Education from Columbia University, Teachers College in New York, N.Y.
Benjamin T. Wood, Ph.D., will join MCLA's department of psychology as an assistant professor. He previously worked as an assistant director at the Center for Psychological Services and Development at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
