Open Call for Window Installations
MCLA’s MOSAIC – 49 Main Street, North Adams
Overview
MCLA’s MOSAIC invites local artists to submit proposals for rotating window installations in the storefront windows at 49 Main Street, North Adams. This initiative aims to enliven Main Street by transforming these windows into creative, publicly accessible art spaces visible 24/7.
Selected artists will have one week to install their work, which will remain on view for four weeks, followed by one week to deinstall. Artists are responsible for providing all materials and labor for installation and deinstallation. There is a $250 stipend for selected artists. MOSAIC will supply project signage and promote each installation through social media.

Installation Cycles
- Install: Week of Feb. 23
Deinstall: Week of March 30 - Install: Week of April 6
Deinstall: Week of May 11 - Install: Week of May 18
Deinstall: Week of June 22 - Install: Week of June 29
Deinstall: Week of Aug. 3
Proposal Requirements
Submit a single PDF via email to mosaic@mcla.edu including:
- Contact Information: mailing address, phone number, and email
- Installation proposal (up to 500 words)
- Five images of previous or related work
- Resume
- Availability indicating which installation/deinstallation cycles you would be able to commit to
