Leap VALUE Rubrics

AAC&U VALUE Rubrics

The following VALUE rubrics were developed to systematically assess each of the 16 LEAP Outcomes, which are a crucial element of MCLA's Mission.  The rubrics themselves were developed by faculty members at colleges and universities across the country.  As the LEAP Outcomes are so essential to our mission at MCLA, the use and adaptation of these rubrics is highly encouraged.  They are linked below, and also can be found pre-imported into the Canvas LMS.

Knowledge of Human Cultures and the Physical and Natural World, focused by engagement with big questions, both contemporary and enduring.

Intellectual and Practical Skills practiced extensively, across the curriculum, in the context of progressively more challenging problems, projects, and standards for performance.

Personal and Social Responsibility, anchored through active involvement with diverse communities and real-world challenges.

Integrative and Applied Learning, demonstrated through the application of knowledge, skills, and responsibilities to new settings and complex problems.
