Tucked in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains, North Adams is a small city with big
personality—where creative energy meets small-town charm. Just a few hours from Boston
and New York, it’s home to MASS MoCA, local cafés, mountain trails, and a walkable
downtown full of art, food, and community. The Berkshires (“the Birks”) are your year-round
playground, offering hiking, biking, and paddleboarding in summer, skiing and snowboarding
in winter, and over 100 world-class cultural attractions all around. At MCLA, it’s
all right in your backyard!
