Adjunct Instructor, Fine and Performing Arts
Leo Quiles is an author and illustrator living and working in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts with his wife, their two children and a puppy. He was worked in the commercial animation and visual effects industry for over 20 years and is currently writing and illustrating his first middle-grade graphic novel.
Leo received his Masters of Fine Arts in Illustration from the University of Hartford's Hartford Art School; he studied Illustration at Parsons School of Design, and received a Bachelor in Arts from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Leo is part-time faculty at MCLA where he teaches Foundation Drawing, Visual Storytelling and Sequential Narrative and he is the recipient of the Schulz Family Artist in Residence in Comics and Cartooning at the Darrow School.
