About me
Laura Thompson, Ed.D. is MASS MoCA’s Education Director and Kidspace Curator where she develops all museum education programming, supervises staff, and writes grants. She has curated 23 Kidspace exhibitions with renowned artists including Roger Shimomura, Lisa Hoke, Portia Munson, Ran Hwang, Tim Rollins + K.O.S., and Nathan Sawaya. Thompson is celebrating her 25th year of working directly with children, teachers and artists, and holds a doctorate in education from Columbia University. She has been an adjunct professor at MCLA since 2007 teaching the BHIP course, as well as art history and arts administration courses.
