orientation leaders

Our Orientation program is designed to be your official welcome to MCLA! During orientation you will learn about campus offices and services available to you, learn more in depth information about your academic program, and get the hang of navigating your new home!

New Student Orientation

Despite the uncertainty MCLA is thrilled to welcome you to our community. We care about you and your future and want you to know that we understand the emotions you may be feeling. As one chapter closes in an unexpected way, please know that MCLA is here to help start your new chapter off strong (whenever you are ready to). We have a great deal of things in store to assist you with the transition to college and we’ve been working hard to organize it all.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the global crisis, MCLA will make a decision on how we host upcoming Orientations and will make an announcement.

For more information regarding MCLA and COVID-19, please visit our site with frequently asked questions.

We have created an MCLA Kickoff to College Canvas site as an orientation where you will receive information and complete tasks that will help you be a successful MCLA student. Visit www.mcla.edu/kickoff to get started! Throughout the orientation, we will be updating the site so you can connect with students, faculty, and staff and learn about resources available to you.

Trailblazer Team Orientation Program

During our New Student Orientation Program we will host a corresponding site for anyone that is member of a student’s Trailblazing Team. A students Trailblazer Team consists of the people who support our students’ success; this includes parents, guardians, family members, mentors, and advocates. Welcome to the family and the Trailblazer Team!

Our Program helps members of the Trailblazing Team to gain a better perspective of what their students will encounter. We discuss how we immediately engage students into our community, and provide information on the academic experience, policies and procedures, residential life, dining services, clubs and organizations, public safety, financial aid, and much more.
