About Me

Brendan Sheran joined the Education Department at MCLA in the fall of 2014 as an adjunct professor, bringing a variety of experience as an educational leader and teacher in Berkshire County.  A National Board Certified Teacher, Brendan taught social studies for 10 years as well as served as the Social Studies Department Chair and teachers union president in Pittsfield. He currently serves as Vice Principal of Teaching and Learning at Pittsfield High School.

Description of Special Projects/Activities

Berkshire Countywide Teacher Driven Professional Development - Connecting and empowering educators to both offer and engage in professional development with their colleagues from across Berkshire County.

Massachusetts Teachers Association - Board of Directors - Region 1A Berkshire County - Representing public school teachers from the Berkshires on the board of the largest labor organization in Massachusetts.

The Pittsfield High School Alumni Association - Co-founder of a 501(c)3 non-profit of alumni, faculty, and community members dedicated to improving and sustaining Pittsfield High School.
