Master of Business Administration

2014 PMBA Intermodal ClassroomMCLA's Master of Business Administration program offers a broad-based, multidisciplinary education that combines the strengths of our business faculty at the doctoral and master's levels with those of practicing managers actively involved in day-to-day decision making in the field.

This is an accelerated program requiring 45 credits of graduate business courses. Credit waivers may be available for those students who already possess an undergraduate business degree. Courses include a blend of classroom experience and practical, hands-on fieldwork. In addition, the program offers diverse academic programming and provides a high return on investment.

  • The MBA program accepts applications throughout the year, and new students may begin the program in the fall, spring, and summer.
  • Interested applicants may take classes and try out the program before enrolling formally in the MBA program.
  • Professional experience requirements to enroll in the MBA program may be modified or waived in certain circumstances.

What To Expect

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Designed as a part-time program to meet the needs of the working adult learner, most of the courses will meet through a combination of online and face-to-face instruction. Students will take one course at a time for the duration of the program. The program provides the support and motivation of a cohesive team with a shared set of goals. Students will be strongly connected to the program, to faculty, and to their fellow participants.

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration consists of five courses that are also required for MBA applicants. Students who complete the certificate will also be eligible to begin the MBA program as long as they meet additional admission requirements. This certificate is appropriate for individuals who may not be interested in pursuing the MBA, but for whom graduate certification in business would enhance their career potential.
