Research/Creative Interests
Most of my recent professional work has been in the area of mathematics education, developing ways to quickly bring students up to speed in arithmetic, algebra, and calculus. Some of this comes from the courses I have developed for preparing future elementary school teachers, the rest comes from the current crisis of low mathematics skills in the general population.
