Title IX

information for managers and supervisors

Any trustee, administrator, department chair, program coordinator, manager or supervisor who receives a report of discrimination, discriminatory harassment, or retaliation from a student or other member of the campus community is obligated to provide this information to the EO Officer or Title IX Coordinator as soon as they become aware of it.

All members of the campus community are encouraged to report to the EO Officer or the Title IX Coordinator any conduct of which they have direct knowledge and which they in good faith believe constitutes discrimination, discriminatory harassment, or retaliation.

Any member of the campus community who has a question about MCLA’s nondiscrimination policies or their reporting responsibilities should contact the Title IX Coordinator or EO Officer using the information below.

For additional instructions:

what happens when a report is made?

When the EO Officer/Title IX Coordinator receives notice of an incident, they will contact the individual(s) involved to provide information about support resources, interim measures, and options for further action. The EO Officer/Title IX Coordinator can also help facilitate contact with law enforcement if the individual involved wishes to pursue a criminal complaint.

It is always the complainant’s choice whether they wish to file a formal complaint or not. Support services are available whether or not a complainant decides to file a formal complaint, and whether or not such a complaint results in a finding of responsibility.
